Vivo launches two smartphones in the UAE

HandphoneAndroid ~  Vivo is currently one of the best Chinese players in the smart phone industry both in China and in some large foreign markets such as India. The Dongguan-based OEM has spread its wings to several countries around the world, including Russia, Malaysia and many more Asian countries.

However, a large amount of unknown territory on the continent is yet to be explored and is doing so slowly but surely. The subsidiary of BBK Electronics has now entered the UAE without much fanfare.

The official website of the company began selling Vivo Y15 on its UAE website and is soon expected to bring another model, the Vivo Y17. Both of these phones are fairly low-end rangers.

Currently, Vivo is present in 100 countries around the world and recently entered Nepal and Pakistan. The company has been at the forefront of design innovation recently with its pop-up camera system used by OPPO, OnePlus Xiaomi and many more brands. The company also pioneered the optical on-screen fingerprint reader that can be seen on many phones in 2019.

Many Chinese companies are now looking beyond the Great Wall of China as the market is completely saturated. Xiaomi is also rapidly expanding its presence in other Asian / European countries as well as OPPO, in search of greater earning potential. It is unclear what Vivo's strategy will be in the UAE from now on, but this is a start.
